Chondrogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) is not affected by the use of Xfect Adult Stem Cell Transfection Reagent. Non-transfected hMCSs (control) and hMCSs transfected using Xfect Adult Stem Cell Transfection Reagent, were induced to differentiate by feeding with chondrogenic induction medium. The transfected cells differentiated to the same extent as the control cells, indicating that the Xfect reagent does not alter this process. Chondrogenic differentiation was confirmed by Alcian Blue staining of sulfated proteoglycans deposits.

Xfect Adult Stem Cell Transfection Reagent transfects human adipose-derived stem cells (hADSCs) with high efficiency. pAcGFP1-C1 was transfected into hADSCs using three different transfection reagents according to their respective protocols. Xfect Adult Stem Cell Transfection Reagent demonstrated a transfection efficiency that far exceeded those of the two leading competitors (L and F).

The combination of 7.5 ¥ìg of plasmid DNA with 3 ¥ìl of Xfect Polymer, achieves the optimal transfection efficiency and viability in both human mesenchymal stem cells, and human adipose-derived stem cells.
