Fluorescent Lentiviral Expression Vectors
Lenti-X Fluorescent Expression Vectors allow you to deliver and stably express your gene of interest as a fluorescent fusion protein in virtually any cell type, including dividing and nondividing cells, stem cells, terminally differentiated cells, and neuronal cells. A Lenti-X bicistronic vector, pLVX-IRES-ZsGreen1, is also available to allow your gene of interest and a green fluorescent protein to be coexpressed from a single mRNA transcript (Figure 1).
Clontech¡¯s Living Colors¢ç DsRed-Monomer and AcGFP1 proteins are truly monomeric fluorescent proteins that are ideal for use as fusion tags (Figure 2). ZsGreen1 is a very bright tetrameric fluorescent protein that is an excellent reporter for gene expression or transduction/transfection efficiency. All Living Colors proteins are detectable without added cofactors or substrates, making them exceptional, noninvasive tools for live cell studies.

The Lenti-X HT Packaging System & Lenti-X 293T Cell Line
We highly recommended these two products for the production of lentivirus from Lenti-X vectors. The Lenti-X HT Packaging System, together with the Lenti-X 293T Cell Line, generates titers that are much higher than titers produced by other commercially available systems. Frequently, an entire dish of target cells can be effectively transduced using just 10¥ìl of unconcentrated viral supernatant. For more details, visit the Lenti-X HT Packaging System product pages.

Lenti-X vectors contain sequence elements that facilitate lentiviral packaging and/or boost transgene expression, including the LTRs, packaging signal (¥×), Rev response element (RRE), and central polypurine tract/central termination sequence (cPPT/CTS) from HIV-1; and the woodchuck hepatitis virus posttranscriptional regulatory element (WPRE). Vectors can express your protein fused at its N- or C- terminus to either a green (AcGFP1) or red (DsRed-Monomer) fluorescent protein tag, or coexpress it as a separate protein along with ZsGreen1.
