SMARTer^® Stranded RNA-Seq Kit는 100pg~10ng의 RNA를 이용하여 전사체의 strand information을 유지하면서 Illumina^® sequencing platforms에 적용할 수 있는 library를 제작할 수 있는 시약이다. 본 제품은 random primer 방법을 이용하여 polyA+ RNA와 rRNA-removed total RNA로부터 NGS용 cDNA library를 제작하며, mammalian RNA (poly A+ RNA)와 박테리아 샘플 (non-poly A+ RNA)를 이용할 수 있다.
기존의 Clonetch SMARTer의 원리를 일부 변형하여 실험 과정 중에, Illumina^® index와 adaptor를 결합하기 때문에 별도의 Library preparation kit가 필요하지 않으며, 불과 4시간 만에 Illuimina^® sequencing에 적용 가능한 indexed library 제작이 가능하다.

본 제품 SMARTer^® Stranded Total RNA Sample Prep Kit - Low Input Mammalian (Code 634861)은 기존의 SMARTer^® Stranded RNA-Seq Kit (Code 634836)에 rRNA depletion을 위한 RiboGone-Mammalian (Code 634847)을 포함하고 있다.
